Who we are

Over 30 years our family farm, located in Northern Victoria, has grown to be the world’s largest emu farm. Through a carefully managed breeding program and our use of sustainable farming practices, we have now added an on-farm state of the art licensed processing facility enabling us to become a vertically integrated business, from paddock to plate.

We are constantly working towards sustainable manufacturing. Our solar installations cover our energy consumption; we use compostable plastic alternatives wherever possible and aim to honour the whole emu by ensuring nothing is wasted.

Our History

Jeff and his family have been living and farming on Barapa Barapa country for five generations. When Jeff took over the family farm in the late 1980’s the sheep industry was in a downturn, so he looked to emu farming to diversify and survive.

After countless hours of research during those 30 years, Jeff knows that emu oil and emu meat can play a vital role in human health and well-being.

Animal Welfare

Our animals are treated with care and respect while prioritising their wellbeing. The emus roam free in lush, green, rotationally grazed paddocks and are ethically handled in every part of the process. We do not use intensive farming practices, growth promoters, hormones or pesticides.

We pride ourselves on ensuring animal stress is minimised at all stages by training our skilled and dedicated staff on animal handling, removing stressful transportation, allowing natural breeding and all following strict biosecurity protocols.
